Red Worms

We raise red worms. Bulk discounts are applied for orders of more than one pound of bed run mix.

The Bass Bait Red Worms (red wigglers) that we raise are the worms that many worm farmers have raised for years. They are small red worms that some people like to buy to use when fishing for bream, perch and small mouth bass. These worms are raised like all our other worms and are the best worm for worm composting. Worm castings make excellent organic fertilizer and are more potent than the compost created by traditional means.

Red Worms

Red worms are great for pan fish such as bream or perch. There are no artificial lures that match a good redworm for bait fishing.

As an earthworm tunnels through the soil, it digests organic material and excretes it in the form of worm castings. Worm Castings are a rich soil amendment containing nutrients in a form usable to plants. Over the course of a single day, an earthworm will produce worm castings equal to its own weight.

Here at D&S Worm Farm we suggest you bed the worms down as soon as you receive them. For our Red Worms, we use a bedding mixture of 50% cow manure and 50% Canadian Peat Moss. Leave a light on over the bed to prevent crawling out.

We feed all our worms the same feed and raise them in 60 to 80 degree temperatures.
